Our Team

The primary goal of our team is to find a balance between tradition and modernity, in order to achieve the sustainable development of the region. Keeping an ancestral know-how is essential to perpetuating it. Value and modernization are also great challenges that the Bivouac team wants to give to live.

Ibrahim Sbai is from M’hamid El Ghizlane. He founded the place in 1999 and thus fulfilled a child’s dream by imagining a space of encounters and sharing beyond borders.

He is also the co-founder and artistic director of the Festival Taragalte which exists since 2009 and takes place in the Bivouac every October to celebrate the cultural ties that existed from the time of the Transsaharian caravans.

Ibrahim Sbai has been passionate about art in a broad sense and has always practiced music. It is this quest for artistic meaning and the history of his ancestors that he wishes to mingle in the universe of the bivouac to make it not only a place of life but a bridge of cultural brewing and artistic fulfillment for all people who will stay there.

He then surrounds himself with a team sharing the same passions and united to defend the same causes, that of a universe imbued with diversity, humanism, respect for the other and the planet.

Very inspired by the author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Ibrahim wishes to pay homage to him through this place of life that he dedicates to the thoughts of the writer, of which everyone has to learn to live in peace and respect.

The team he brings together comes from diverse backgrounds but shares the same goal: to offer our guests a unique and unforgettable experience, allowing them to share the nomadic way of life in harmony with nature.

“Since its creation 20 years ago, Le Petit Prince has worked hard to meet the needs of visitors from all over the world: Protecting the natural environment and building a platform for cultural exchanges in the desert were the hallmarks. Today, the wager is highly successful as the region has regained its reputation attracting visitors by the thousands, in search of this nomadic way of life and this authentic experience that breathes the desert. Over time, our team has grown.

It now includes camel and walking guides, trackers, local tourism specialists, experienced drivers and chefs trained in the diversity of Moroccan cuisine.

Moreover, to ensure consistency during your stay, all our partners (international and national travel agencies and tour operators) share the same values as we, sustainable and fair tourism, with respect for men and nature. Eco-tourism is a prominent pedestal in our way of being and acting. We aspire to develop the region sustainably.

And we celebrate our efforts and our annual achievements, as part of the Festival Taragalte, a cultural event around the art of the desert and world music.”
